One of the best ideas I’ve heard in a while – and I’m subscribed to Idea-A-Day – is Star Wars Uncut. This is a massive collaboration of volunteers on the internet each providing their own take on a different 15-second slot of the original Star Wars: A New Hope. 48 clips have been completed at this stage, and there are plenty of slots up for grabs. The ones I’ve seen range from animation (above) to some kids and their cat.
Once complete, the whole thing will be strung together for a complete and bizarrely awesome reproduction of A New Hope. God, that’s cool.

No comments This Tron 5 teaser is out, after those Tron movies with Keanu Reeves in them. We’ll get to see the movie in… 2011, maybe. Jeff Bridges is back. It’s called Tron Legacy, but apparently some people are calling it TR2N, in an attempt to goad me into killing them. You can watch the trailer mashed up with Michael Jackson’s Beat It above. Of course.
